From where I sit

essentially sat in front of the computer all day watching movies, fixing up new business cards, and enjoying a day off

we're all looking for a high

 

there are hundred of thousands of things that we can get addicted to. some progressive, some harmful.My theory on addictions is that it's searching for that feeling you got the first time you tried something. take beer for example. the first time you try it you get a buzz, but the next time you need two for the same feeling then three, then four, etc. It's like that with photography. I go out and shoot to experience the feeling i got when i first started shooting, but the more i do it, the more i need to do it. and i'm quite alright with this, because while i may never get the feeling i had before i get a different feeling that comes only with experience, and that's confidence.

an unexpectedily nice day

 

Today there was a mandatory store meeting at work today at 9:45am. When something like this comes up on a day that I'm not scheduled to work is naturally expected to be upsetting, but surprisingly enough today was an amazing day. Met up with Ariel in the a.m and got to work extra early, and the meeting wasn't too bad. later roaming around brooklyn found the famous junior's cheesecake factory. spent the rest of the day chasing light around the city. and it was by far the best I've gotten in a long time!

A clutterd home yeilds a clutterd mind

 

It has been an ongoing battle to keep my room clean. and it is something that I am rather ashamed about. Having the next 2 weeks off from school and hardly working I'm going to venture into not only cleaning but reorganizing, painting, and decorating my room. Hopefully after organizing my room I can begin to organize my head.

On my way to work this morning i ran into Cat, and had one of those rare nice talks that take place on a train .A quick side note; majority of the photos in this project will probably be on a train or bus. Most of my time is spent traveling seeing how I live in the Bronx, go to school in Queens, and work in Brooklyn. on a good day I'm only dealing with public transportation for 3 hours... on a good day.

After spending the day with my mom to celebrate her birthday we had to go to the grocery store. while waiting for a cab in the pharmacy. these guys came in a bit after and lightened up the mood of the dry atmosphere that usually comes with pharmacies.

 February 14-  valentines day to celebrate it I went to work, then waited at union square for someone not to show up. its funny because I've spent the last 2 valentines days essentially the same way at union square.
